Watauga Lake Front or Lake Access homes vary in price depending on size of home and location on the lake. Watauga Lake is generally separated by the Butler Bridge approximately mid way between the eastern shore at the entrance point of the Watauga River and the western shore at the swimming area at Shook Branch or the Watauga Dam

Lake Front Homes and vacant property on the western half of the lake are primarily limited to the northern shore line, homes and subdivisions are located off of Piercetown Road or in the subdivisions of Horseshoe Cove or The Ridges on TN67. Most of the land area on the west side of the lake is part of the Cherokee National Forest or managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Private properties available on the east side of the lake is accessible by roads off of the highways of TN67 and US321.

The 100+ miles of Watauga Lake's shoreline is made up of many coves and islands. When purchasing lake front homes or property, homes or property with year round deep water will command a higher price than homes with summer water only. Summer water will be found at the end of coves or entrances of small creeks or branches.
